In the second inning, the Lookouts gave Abbott the early 2-0 lead with home runs by Nick Quintana and Quiny McAfee. Chattanooga would continue to put its power on display when Rece Hinds belted a 444-foot three-run home run to make it 5-0 Lookouts.
After Mississippi scratched across its first three runs of the day, McAfee hit his second homer of the day and of the season. Up 8-3, Andy Fisher shut the door with two shutout innings and four strikeouts to bring the team's total to 20 on the day.
Chattanooga now leads all of Double-A baseball with 93 strikeouts in just six games. The Triple-A Toledo Mudhens currently leads all of minor league baseball with 126 Ks in 12 games.
