Fifty Years of the Tidewatchers Booster Club and the Tides MiLB Baseball – a Golden Anniversary Celebration as our organization continues the mission to promote baseball and celebrate the players of the Norfolk Tides. The Tidewatchers are here because our members love the game of baseball. And the group consists of some of the most conscientious fans of baseball in the area! The group assist the Tides will handing out giveaway items each season and you can see their banners at first and third base entrances along with a membership table on the concourse where you can sign up to become a member.
During the season Membership Applications can be found at the Information Desk on the Harbor Park Concourse or at the front office. During the offseason and once the season is underway applications can also be obtained by contacting one of the Booster Club Board members listed at the bottom of this page, by attending one of our monthly meetings held at St. Timothy Lutheran at 1051 Kempsville Road, Norfolk, Virginia, or by clicking on the link below to obtain a printable version of the Tidewatchers Membership Application and mailing to 2085 Lynnhaven Parkway, Suite 106-315, Virginia Beach, VA 23456.
The Tidewatchers hold monthly meetings, typically at 7:15 PM on the last Monday evening of each month (We do not meet in December and January). The benefits of membership include monthly meetings with interesting guest speakers, monthly newsletters, and the chance to present Tidewatcher end-of-season awards to individual players (when current restrictions are no longer in effect), volunteering for the opportunity to greet the fans entering Harbor Park while passing out items on promotion nights, participating in bus trips to Major League and occasional out-of-town Minor League ballgames, and the chance to interact with others who share your passion for baseball. In the past the club has held “Meet the Tides” events at Hits at the Park, however, with contacts limited due to COVID-19, they are working on another plan for 2022.
