Jack López #1

Selected in the 16th round of the 2011 MLB Draft by the Kansas City Royals out of Deltona (Florida) High School... was a member of Team USA at the Tokyo Olympics in the summer of 2021, earning a silver medal... made his Major League debut on Sept. 1, 2021 with the Boston Red Sox and appeared in seven games.

2022

Spent the entire season with Triple-A Toledo after signing with the Detroit Tigers on Feb. 7; he was a non-roster invitee to Tigers Spring Training in March... hit .167 with six homers, 11 steals, 13 doubles and 34 RBIs in 95 games for the Mud Hens before becoming a free agent in November... again spent the winter in the Liga de Béisbol Profesional Roberto Clemente with Cangrejeros de Santurce under manager and former Major Leaguer Alex Cintron.

2021

Spent most of the 2021 season in the minors, but saw the first big league action of his career late in the season with the Red Sox...Hit safely in 16-of-17 games with Triple-A Worcester in June, batting .409/.420/.485 with five doubles and 13 RBI...Made his big league debut Sept. 1 at Tampa Bay, starting at second base and going 0-for-4...Recorded his first Major League hit Sept. 3 vs. Cleveland, hitting a double off Cal Quantrill...Played in 30 games with Cangrejeros de Santurce in the Puerto Rican Winter League, hitting .165/.262/.278 with two doubles, a triple, three home runs and 10 RBI.

2020

Worked out remotely during the 2020 season as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic...Hit .180/.373/.282 with four doubles in 13 games with Indios de Mayaguez... also played in three games with Puerto Rico in the Caribbean Series and went 2-for-6.

2019

Spent the entire year with Triple-A Gwinnett and hit .273 (98-for-359) in 96 games...Hit .316/.337/.495 (30-for-95) against lefthanded pitching...Conversely, batted .258 (68-for-264) versus right-handers...Played five positions defensively, spending the majority of his time at third base (55 games, 53 starts)...Also saw time at shortstop (26 games, 25 starts), left field (eight games, all starts) and second base (seven games, all starts)...Had the first pitching appearance of his career, going 1.0 inning (3 ER)...Was named the International League's Player of the Week for the period of 6/17-23 after hitting .619/.667/.762 (13-for-21) in six games...Batted .322 (29-for-90) with nine RBI in 23 games in June...Was on the injured list from 7/19-26 with a left eye laceration.

2018

Played in 113 games, all with Kansas City's Triple-A Omaha...Defensively, played second base, shortstop, third base and left field.

2017

Spent a majority of the year at Northwest Arkansas (AA), but had a three-week stint with Omaha (AAA), from July 17-Aug. 7…played in 113 games total, batting .261/.313/.339 (111-for-425), setting a career high in hits... Named a Texas League All-Star for the first time in his career…started the game at second base and went 1-for-4... Batted .308/.351/.401 (56-for-182) over his first 50 games, which included seven doubles, two triples and two homers... Ranked seventh in the Texas League with 19 steals in 26 chances…recorded 20 thefts overall, the first time he's collected 20+ stolen bases in a season since 2014 with Wilmington (A)... Started games at three different positions with the Naturals, making 43 starts at second base, 36 at third and 12 at shortstop…posted a .991 fielding percentage at second base, committing just two errors in 211 chances... Matched a career-high with four hits on June 2 at Midland… it marked his first four-hit contest since 2012 with Surprise (Rookie).
