Spokane Drops Series Finale to Hillsboro, 10-4

Spokane, Wash. - Hillsboro scored nine runs in the final three innings of Sunday's matinee with Spokane as the Hops topped the Indians, 7-2, in front of 2,965 fans at Avista Stadium for the Augtoberfest Day Game presented by Samuel Adams & 103.9 BOB FM.

TOP PERFOMERS

Jarrod Cande continues to provide quality work every time he toes the rubber. The right-hander allowed just one earned run over five frames today while notching his 100th strikeout of the season and lowering his ERA to 3.48.

Robby Martin led the way offensively with three hits - including two doubles - one RBI, and one stolen base. The former Florida State standout hit .438 (7-for-16) with four runs scored and two stolen bases against the Hops this week.

Cuba Bess had a pair of base knocks while Benny Montgomery, Ryan Ritter, Parker Kelly, Nic Kent, and Jamari Baylor each had one hit in the loss.
